Ladies Softball Cricket

Albrighton Roses Ladies Softball Cricket Team recently took part in the Women's Softball Cricket League at Wrekin College.
Well what can I say about the games at Wrekin they were a blast, well done Roses super proud of you all. What fun did we have and 'subs in the pub' was the icing on the cake, we seem to come to the conclusion after a few drinks that we lost all games by one run !!!
It has been so much fun playing in the Indoor Softball League at Wrekin and it has been great seeing so many Ladies new to softball cricket having so much fun. Roll on the summer where the festivals can start. More fun in the sun with Prosecco especially at the one we are holding on 16th June, put the date in your diaries.
Please pass on the word to all Ladies you know family and friends, that the aim of the 'Albrighton Roses' is to get Ladies involved and all to enjoy a fun, social time, playing cricket with music throughout the summer. There is no pressure and all the equipment is provided, just come along wearing something comfortable.

Indoor Training:
Don't forget that indoor training has started at St Dominics Grammar School, Brewood. Once again I stress no experience is necessary and it is a fantastic opportunity to come along for the first time, meet new ladies and just pick up a bat and have some fun.
Ladies train from 7.30pm - 8.30pm, Senior Men will train from 8.30pm-9.30pm. The Ladies will do alternate weeks with the Juniors, the next Ladies Training session is 8th March, then 22nd March and 5th April, subs for the session are £3.00 per week. Training will then switch to outdoors on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm at the Kennel Lane Ground. Outdoor training sessions are free

Ladies Social Day at ODI in Worcester -
There are a number of ladies who are looking to attend the Ladies ODI match in Worcester against the West Indies on Sunday 9th June (Air Show Day). Tickets are £10 per adult and under 17’s are just £1. Thought it would be a nice social event to go and enjoy the sun and cricket.

The big news for this year is Albrighton CC will be hosting a Women's Softball Cricket Festival on Sunday 16th June, there will be a Junior Tournament in the morning followed by a Women's Softball Cricket Festival, which involves a lot of music, prosecco and fun. Please put the date in your diaries to come along and join in the fun.
