Junior Training Information

Posted by Danielle Shimmons on 29 April 2021

Junior Cricket is back at Albrighton Cricket Club and the committee and coaches are so excited to welcome all the boys, girls and parents back.

This year we are continuing with our ECB Allstars program for 5 to 8 year olds and introducing the new Dynamos Cricket for 8 to 11 year olds. Both programs officially start on Friday 7th May however we are starting our junior training a week earlier for both groups as a taster session to introduce the children to their coaches and allow the coaches to assess their groups. Details of start times are below.

Under 13`s and Under 15`s will also enjoy Friday night training with the opportunity to use the bowling machines with the coaches. The club is also waiting for delivery of a new mobile net to allow use of grass wicket for training.

Albrighton Cricket Club looks forward to Friday nights to which we are so proud of making it a fun, family atmosphere for both children and parents to enjoy.

Covid Guidelines:

Under guidelines from the ECB and Government we must adhere to all covid guidelines and coaches will be aware of sanitising of hands and equipment during the sessions. Please undergo a personal symptom check at home prior to coming to training. Please stay home and do not take part if you or anyone in the family demonstrate any COVID-19 symptoms and are required to self isolate.

The clubhouse will remain closed until at least 21st June as we hopefully will reach the final step to normality. There we will be an outside bar where bottles/soft drinks/snacks will be served from and seating available outside only in groups of 6. Our Bar team will be there to take your orders. If parents are able to bring chairs/picnic blankets that would be a great help too.

All parents / guardians will be asked to record their attendance on arrival to the club for track and trace purposes. Sanitising stations will be available and new dispensers have been fitted inside the toilet block. Toilets are available with one person at a time in the toilets and then using a one-way system though the corridors and exiting through the rear door. We recommend that facemasks are worn through the corridors to use the toilets. Our team of helpers will be there to assist and direct you and advise accordingly.

We all look forward to seeing you all on Friday nights and should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
