CLUBHOUSE REDEVELOPMENT
In 2014, the committee of Albrighton Cricket Club drew up a new 7 Year Development Plan, to set the future of the club. The club has achieved so much since 2014 off the field despite having a tough run on the field of play.
With the support of the committee, members and friends the club has supported local and national charities through the Albrighton Cricket Club Community Fund with sponsored walks to Lords, Old Trafford, Trent Bridge, Headingley and Edgbaston.
Around the club we now benefit from an Electronic Scoreboard which celebrated 50 years at the club of Gordon Ellsey, Harry Jones and Ifor Williams. Our practice nets have been furnished with new mats which benefit both our Senior and Junior training nights.
The committee has pushed publicity of the club to the community and as a result our membership has grown year on year. This is highlighted by the fantastic growth in our Junior sections with children from aged five upwards and thanks must go to our coaching team.
All around there is a new buzz to the club and hopefully now with the news that planning permission has been granted by Shropshire Council for our “New Vision” of the clubhouse. The hard work starts now with fundraising and grant applications to make our dream come true which will go a long way to the sustainability of the club with added community functions.

The “New Vision” of the clubhouse will include re-development of the changing facilities with self-contained changing rooms in line with ECB Standards. The extension to the clubs social area will increase our capacity to hold more events and update our viewing area of the grounds.
A very exciting future for both members and the local community.
On behalf of the Committee, I would like to thank all for their continued support and look forward to our future, Onwards and Upwards
