ACC2 Fundraising Walk 2019 - Sunday 26th May & Monday 27th May 2019

It has been decided that this years fundraising walk will be to Worcestershire County Cricket Club over the Whit Weekend starting Sunday 26th May and Bank Holiday Monday 27th May

The walk is an opportunity for players, members and friends join a social walk to help raise funds in 2019 towards the new plans for the development of the Clubhouse. Exciting times are ahead as the club now moves to the planning permission stage through Spring and your support would greatly appreciated in fundraising and social events in 2019.

After the success of the ACC2 series of walks in previous years the club is looking for volunteers to join the walk to New Road Worcester. The walk will start on Sunday 26th May leaving the Cricket Club at 7.00am and will cover 30 miles in the first day walking through Perton and then along the Canal to Stourport. The second day (Bank Holiday Monday 27th May) will be much shorter in 12 miles on to Worcestershire CC, planned in time to take the opportunity to watch the opening day of the Specsaver County Cricket League Division Two match against Middlesex (£16 per Adult/ U18`s Free). An overnight stay at the Premier Inn overlooking New Road is optional but will be a great opportunity for walkers to reflect on the first day's walk from Albrighton to Stourport before returning to Stourport the next day to start the final push to Worcester. As in previous years the walking will be split into stages of between 5 and 8 miles giving all the opportunity to walk parts of the walk or indeed all of the walk, each stage conveniently ends & starts and a local drinking establishment!

Below is the schedule for the walk showing the stage lengths and end points of each stage. Also the detail of the Premier Inn in Worcester City for the night of Sunday 26th May, I have spoken to Premier Inn and there are currently "load" of rooms available. Please note that there is an additional cost for parking. Historically the ACC2 Crew of walkers enjoy a social evening with a meal and drinks in a local restaurant.

ACC setup a Community Fund many years ago and over the years has raised over £12,000 for nominated charities. The ACCCF is now raising money for the redevelopment of it's own clubhouse and would love your support.
